New Zealand could meet 25% of domestic jet fuel needs with SAF from wood waste, finds report

A feasibility study by Air New Zealand and LanzaJet found that up to 25% of NZ's domestic aviation fuel could come from locally produced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) made from woody waste. The process converts wood to ethanol, then transforms it into SAF, reducing reliance on imported jet fuel.
