Singapore Airlines recycled more in-flight waste than earlier reported

Singapore Airlines revised its in-flight waste recycling rate upwards to 11% after receiving new data, which is a significant increase from the previously stated 1.7%. Efforts to focus on the environment and sustainable aviation fuel have become a priority for airlines, as the industry aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Despite the increase in recycling rate, Singapore Airlines still lags behind some of its peers in recycling efforts. The airline has faced criticism for its sustainability efforts in the past, particularly regarding the use of paper boxes for economy-class food.
