Staycity to double growth with sustainability in mind

Camelina-based sustainable aviation fuel takes first flight from Minnesota

The first 7,000-gallon shipment of blended Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from winter camelina, grown by Minnesota and North Dakota farmers, arrived at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Key partners included the University of Minnesota’s Forever Green Initiative and Cargill. A new SAF blending facility will open at Flint Hills Resources by late 2025.
